I’m Caryse Reyes and my life is a disaster… That’s par for the course when you come from a large family.But when you come from a large family of untamed witches like mine, it’s chaoson steroids. It all started with dear, sweet Aunt Rosie… Who am I kidding? Everything bad that happens in Misery, Indiana has AuntRosie’s name written all over it. That should make problems easy to solve, right? Not so much. Aunt Rosie is dead-ish. A mishap with a spell she was told never to try made her andabout a dozen other relatives disappear into the unknown space between theliving and the dead. To make matters worse, no one can know and I’m the onlyperson who can see or hear them. When the town’s claim to fame–an artifact worth more than 20million dollars–goes missing, the crime has all the hallmarks of something myAunt Rosie would do. Why? Because she’s done it before. Friends, foes, and former neighbors want to speak to herabout it. I can only buy time for so long. If I don’t find a way to reverse the ancient spell and bringher and my other aunts and uncles back to the land of the living, I’ll have alot of explaining to do about where she is and why she won’t answer questions.Or worse, they’ll think I’m in on the theft and will make me pay for the crimeneither of us committed. I don’t want to go to prison and Aunt Rosie couldn’t havestolen the artifact–this time. Can we find the brazen thief before people get wind of AuntRosie’s current circumstances and learn the truth about my family?
